Activity Snapshot
Activity description
A perfect way to get into the adrenaline-inducing sport of canyoning in Cantabria is heading out to Rio Navedo for an absolutely amazing canyoning introduction!
Canyoning is an adventure sport that's practised on ravines or river beds carved from centuries of water erosion and other natural phenomenons. Although you can find several dry canyons, most of them have water flow. This is one of the many reasons to why it's incredibly fun and a very popular summer sport.
As you make your way down a canyon, you'll be required to hike and overcome a series of natural obstacles along the path, jump into natural and crystal clear pools, slide on natural waterslides, and even abseil! For the Rio Navedo canyon, you don't require any previous experience, you just need to be ready for an amazing half-day connection with nature and to be comfortable in water.
The canyon of Rio Navedo is simply stunning! From the very beginning, you'll be amazed by the rocky landscapes offered by the Desfiladero de La Hermida, one of Spain's longest ravines.
Then, a series of abseils and waterslides will bring a smile to your face as you explore the canyon surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful landscapes!
