This activity takes place at rock climbing sites across the Loop Head peninsular and the Burren. Situated on the west coast of Ireland in County Clare, its well-protected, easy access routes are suitable for beginners and experienced climbers and is considered by some as the best coastal limestone in the world.
Meet your instructor at the activity base in Kilkee for this rock climbing lesson. Organised according to age and ability, groups can experience the area’s iconic limestone climbing routes across the Burren and Loop Head. The ideal experience for groups of friends and families too, choose from either a half day or full day experience in the beautiful Irish countryside. Upon arrival, you will be met by your expert instructors who will provide you with a full safety briefing. They will then guide you through the basics of climbing; introducing you to the key skills and the equipment that you will use during your session. The rock climbing takes place at local crags where you will be taught to overcome your fears and develop new climbing skills and techniques. During the day you will be able to climb various grades and routes, abseil, learn climbing techniques, learn about rope work, knots and belaying.
Operating across Loop Head & The Burren, rock climbing routes will be chosen based on previous experience – with some locations weather & tidal dependent.
