Experiencing a via ferrata outing is the perfect way to ease into the amazing world of rock climbing. With the help of a harness, you'll make your way by a rock wall in Argentina's first via ferrata at Bariloche!
A via ferrata is a man-made protected rock climbing route that can go both sideways or in an upward direction. In them, you'll find steel cables, hanging bridges, iron steps and even zip lines that will help you reach areas that you wouldn't be able to while hiking. ABC Canyon takes safety quite seriously, that's the reason why they use a click-it belay system that minimized the risk of accidental unhooking from the cables. This way, you're sure you'll be safe all the time!
La Virgen via ferrata, located in San Carlos de Bariloche is Argentina's first via ferrata. Having a difference in altitude of over 100 m., La Virgen via ferrata stretches all along the La Virgen canton so you'll have to swing of zip lines to get across! This amazing itinerary can be done by anyone in good shape and that doesn't have fear of heights.
This experience lasts for around 2 hours-and-half and will allow you to reach a vantage point from where you'll have an amazing panoramic view of Moreno Lake, Otto Mountain and of the town of Bariloche. While you contemplate the beauty of Argentina's ultimate adventure destination, you'll have a snack before a 20-min. hike back.
