Location
Almbach Canyon stretches across Austria and Germany, a dramatic ravine celebrated for its natural splendor. Positioned conveniently along the route connecting Berchtesgaden and Salzburg, this 200m (650 ft) deep chasm offers an exceptional experience suitable for beginners and families. The activity hub is located in Golling, a mere 25km (about 30 minutes) away from the heart of Salzburg. Easily accessible by both car and public transportation, the closest train station is Golling-Abtenau Station.
Gather at the activity base in Golling, where your canyoning adventure to Almbach Gorge commences. Ideal for young families and novices, Almbach Canyon provides a half-day immersion into an exquisite and easily navigable gorge, ensuring all the thrills of canyoning without the necessity of rappelling or rope maneuvers. The journey begins with a brief stroll to the canyon, where a comprehensive briefing awaits. Here, you'll learn the art of tombstoning from cliffs and safely gliding over obstructions. Over the ensuing hours, you'll traverse the varied heights and depths of the gorge, engaging in activities that encompass scrambling, climbing, jumping, and swimming, each with its unique level of challenge. Upon reaching the journey's end, you'll return to the activity base, culminating an experience that you'll long cherish.
Almbach Gorge presents an accessible and beginner-friendly course, making it a perfect choice for young families and those new to canyoning. The entire journey within the canyon extends from 4 to 5 hours, featuring convenient opt-out alternatives for jumps and slides, should you choose.

Participants aged 15 and above require parental or guardian consent. For children aged 9 to 14, accompanying adults are necessary.
