Activity description

If you've tried and loved rock climbing, you'll lose your mind over ice climbing! Challenging the mighty mountains during winter is a rock climbers dream!

Rock climbing is one of the most popular outdoor sports around the world, yet many people think that in winter you just have to settle for rock climbing gyms. When waterfalls freeze a rock climber's dream comes true!

Ice climbing is a variant with the same principle, reaching the highest part of a wall. Yet the techniques and equipment are completely different, using a harness, a cord, and helmet as safety equipment, ice climbing requires you to be able to handle an ice axor piolet, and weatherproof boots with crampons to make your way up. If you've experienced rock climbing, you'll love ice climbing!

The Austrian region of Osttirol is one of the most well-known ice climbing places in the world, there Vittorio will take you to have your first contact with this amazing winter sport. All specific equipment will be provided, just make sure to bring warm and comfortable clothes!
