Kronburg Gorge is located in the Northern Tirol of Landeck renowned for its 14th-century hilltop castles. The Kronburg waterfall and its namesake gorge can be explored on foot along the Kronburger Tobel circular path - canyoning is only permitted under the supervision of a guide due to its dangerous nature. Close to the holiday resort of Schönwies in the Bergwerkskopf mountains between Landeck and Imst, the canyon runs into the Inn river. A popular ski resort in winter, Zams is only an hour drive from Innsbruck and connected by mainline train and an international airport.
Meet your instructor at the activity centre in Tarrenz for this Xtreme canyoning excursion in Kronburg Gorge. A restricted gorge suitable for advanced canyoners or people with adequate rope skills, you must be at least 16 years old and have a serious head for heights to try this challenging adventure! A very narrow canyon that sinks 40m deep into the bedrock, solo abseil down waterfalls and luge into huge freshwater pools as you test your technique with an experienced guide. Both physically and mentally demanding, lean back and let the good times roll as you rappel down vertical cliff faces and fight the whitewater current as it races to join the Inn River!
