Few activities offer you the chance of being able to explore Sao Miguel than riding on an awesome quad bike! Azores Outdoors Activities will guide you through the best areas!
On this tour you will be the driver of a quad / ATV and this is probably the best way to get to know and feel this part of the island. This tour will take you to the highest points of the mountains that surround the Sete Cidades Crater, through secondary paths and dirt paths, where you will have an incredible view over dormant lagoons and volcanoes.
Quad bikes are not only incredibly fun to ride, but they also allow you to access areas that you wouldn't be able to otherwise. Their offroad capacity makes them perfect to get off the beaten path and go on an authentic journey of discovery!
The Sete Cidades tour, which offers a half-day excursion, will take you to the highest points of the mountains that surround the Crater of Sete Cidades. Points of Interest: Vila das Sete Cidades, Vista da Rainha, Pico da Cruz, Cerrado das Freiras and Cumeeiras, off-road around the Lagoon Azul
The excursion has a capacity for 2 quads only. You can book either driver alone (1 person on 1 quad) or driver and passenger (2 people on 1 quad).
Course of events
Fenais da Luz (North coast).
Pico da Cruz (845 meters altitude) View to Lagoa de Santiago, lagoa Rasa and Sete Cidades lagoon.
Vista da Rainha/Miradouro das Cumeeiras ( View point for Sete Cidades, Green and Blue Lagoon).
Cumeiras (offroad Superior Rim around the vulcanic crater).
Cerrado das Freiras (offroad around the lake).
Passing by Capelas village.
Fenais da Luz.
Activity requirements
All drivers must bring their driving licence.
Drivers must sign a responsability statement to drive their vehicles.
The use of slippers is not allowed.
Tour not suitable for pregnant women or people with back problems.
Special terms
We always recommend the use of comfortable, warm clothing and a waterproof jacket, as our climate changes very quickly and is unpredictable.
Tour date can be changed depending on weather conditions.
The itinerary may be adjusted according to the participants’ driving capacity.
