This activity takes place on the Ayung River in the uplands of Bali. A 10km route on Class I-II rapids, it neighbours local landmarks in the Ubud region that include Pura Tira Empul, The Tegallalang Rice Fields and Monkey Forest.
Meet your guide at the activity base near Ubud for this white water rafting adventure on the Ayung River. Suitable for groups of friends and families alike, this river challenge is renowned as a wild yet well-maintained route with up to 25 Class II rapids. Starting with a short safety briefing and kit check, head to the embankment area with your very own in-boat guide – learning some basic commands and paddle techniques. Setting off on the river, wind through deep valleys with cascading waterfalls and towering cliffs of prehistoric significance. On the more leisurely stretches through the tropical forest, you will see Hindu shrines that are brightly decorated on ceremonial days of prayer. Just as you think it is all coming to an end, the unpredictable Ayung River propels your raft into yet another section of rapids – slaloming down whitewater channels with lots of bumps and bends along the way. After reaching the take-out area, dry off and enjoy a light lunch before you’re transported back to your accommodation.
