Rated as one of Indonesia's best surf sports by the Stormrider Guide, Kuta beach is renowned for its 8km Indian Ocean shore break with long, consistent waves making it a popular surf spot, particularly for beginners and learners getting their first taste of the easy green waves out back. A 20-minute transfer from nearby Ngurah Rai International Airport, this tourist hotspot is walking distance for Seminyak and a 30-minute drive from the coastal resort, Canggu.
A stone's throw from the legendary Kuta beach, this intermediate surfing course is geared to surfers that have already had some previous experience and are ready to try surfing small green (unbroken) waves. This bundle course (3/5 x 2-hour lessons) focuses on perfecting your standing series and refining your pop before heading out back. Once you've joined the line-up you can try right and left-hand turns with guidance from your instructor and after-surf video footage to help you improve.
