The Ayung River is the longest river in Bali and runs 68km from the northern mountain ranges, passing through Denpasar into the Bali Sea. Rafting takes part where the river passes the Ubud region, famed for its rich forest, rice terrace plantations and steady white rapids perfect for wannabe rafters. The closest International Airport is in Denpasar. Bali has a strong Hindu community that have built spectacular temples all over the island!
Meet the team for a brief safety presentation and refreshments before being fitted for equipment. You’ll then head out on your quad bike for the first part of this double adventure. The two-hour trek will take you deep into tropical forests, past rice fields cut into the hillside and traditional villages off the well-beaten path. Quad bikes are the perfect way to negotiate testing muddy trails which will be sure to leave a wide smile on your face. Splashing through rivers and streams you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to control these 4x4 machines. After stopping for a spot of lunch you will hop into your kayak for some white water rafting. The Class ll rapids along the Ayung provide steady slopes and long meandering routes that are perfect for beginners and families. Expect to see stunning waterfalls and handmade wooden bridges surrounded by wild jungle. Although testing at times this activity isn’t difficult and will be made easier with the help of your guide. After the activity, the team will drop you off at your pick-up point.
