Take a wild ride in the heart of the Dinaric Alps and explore the picturesque landscapes teeming with lush flora and fauna in Blidinje Nature Park!
Departing from the Konoba Mali Vilinac tavern, your full-day trip with your experienced guide starts off on an asphalt road in the direction of Blidinje Lake. After riding for two kilometers, you’ll get to start your mountain biking adventure as you ride in the verdant magic of this well-preserved nature park! Afterward, you’ll get to take a break at one of the most cherished, medieval monuments in Bosnia and Herzegovina: a necropolis of tombstones called “Stećci”.
From there, you’ll make a 7-kilometer climb towards the holy resting spot of Diva Grabovčeva, a Roman Catholic virgin martyr. You’ll get to visit this famous praying area before climbing another kilometer and then flying down on your bike towards the Rama river!
After riding a few kilometers on the first crossing, you’ll make your way towards the challenging Vran Mountain where you’ll go on a dynamic, 8-kilometer forest path that fluctuates between climbs and descents. You’ll finally arrive at a plateau below the top of the mountain, which is where you’ll get to take a short break before having an excellent downhill ride towards the village of Lipa. From there, you’ll ride and make another 7-kilometer climb to Grla gorge before you make your final downhill ride towards Blidinje Lake.
The last leg of your tour will take you on an 8-kilometer asphalt road back to your starting point at the tavern.
This mountain bike tour is the perfect combination of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s untamed nature and rich history, with a healthy dose of adrenaline in the mix! Along the way, you'll even get to take a nice break for a picnic lunch before continuing your ride.
