Explore one of the most beautiful mountains in Bosnia & Herzegovina during this full-day hike that will take you through impressive canyons, caves, and a waterfall!
Known as the “Bosnian Himalaya,” the Prenj Bijela Mountain is located in the heart of the Dinaric Alps and is renowned for its striking landscapes and gorgeous peaks. With your certified mountain guide, you’ll first traverse through one of the mountain’s best-kept secrets: Bijela Canyon, a hidden canyon that was formed naturally over time due to the underground flow of the Bijela river. Afterward, you’ll make your way through a thick, hornbeam forest before arriving at the remains of a former mountain refuge (475 meters).
From this point, you will embark on a steep path to Glogovo hut (1220 meters) where you’ll get to explore Pecina Cave that’s home to a 10-meter-high waterfall! You’ll get to refreshen yourself with the ice-cold water flowing down before heading back from this rewarding hike in the kingdom of pure mountain beauty.
Breathe in the crisp air and immerse yourself in the pristine surroundings of the majestic Prenj Bijela Mountain!
