Discover a unique winter experience in an ice canoe on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City!

If you want to have fun with family or friends while discovering a new sport born in Quebec City, this activity is for you!

Located at Anse au Foulon, in Quebec City, the Ice Canoe Experience team is pleased to welcome you and accompany you during this unique experience. The guides are eager to share with you the history of the ice canoe's role in maritime transportation on the St. Lawrence River!

Before setting out on your adventure, you will put on your equipment and the guides will teach you the basic techniques and safety instructions. You will embark with 5 canoeists for an initiation full of sensations. Depending on weather and tide conditions, the crew will adapt the route. When the St. Lawrence is in the water, you will move around with the help of large oars. When the river is full of ice, you will have to leave your oars on board the boat. With your crampons on, you will position yourself in a "scooter" position and the canoe will make its way through the ice. You will be impressed by the noise produced!

Halfway through the trip, you will take a break on the ice while enjoying a hot chocolate. This will also be an opportunity to take some souvenir photos of the breathtaking panorama of the old city of Quebec. After about two hours of walking, you will return to the mainland to warm up. As the guides are equipped with cameras, you will be able to take photos and videos of this unique moment for free.
