Go for your first dive in Pula with Orca Diving Centre. You will explore the beautiful underwater world of the Adriatic Sea with your diving instructor or Dive Master DSD Leader.
After a short theory lesson, you will get fully equipped and start your adventure! You will encounter different types of fishes, house reef stone dolphin, and maybe even seahorses and octopus!
You will dive from the Housereef diving site. The Housereef is located just in front of the center. It is 18 meters deep. You can find lobsters, congers, electric rays, zeus fabers, seaspiders and scorpionfish among others. It is a perfect spot for first dive for first dive and night dives as well.
You have 2 options: the trial dive and the Discover Scuba Diving
If you go for the trial dive you will dive once up to 6 metres, while for the Discover Scuba Diving you will dive 3 times and up to 12 metres.
Other diving sites
Fraskeric, it is a very beautiful diving site with 4 tunnels, where you can dive through it, in beetween 3 and 18 meters deep. It is maximum 26 meters deep. There are additional small caves. There you can find Zeus faber, lobster, electric ray, catshark and other fish.
Bumbiste, it is a beautiful wall dive, with a lot of different caves, cliffs, big stones and one big cave starting from 20 meters. There is a small cave on the top with air inside for you to surface. The wall is 200 meters long. The maximum depth is 30 meters.
Small ca. 27m long wreck in 39m depth, a lot of different big fish: lobster, conger, scorpionfish.
Rossarol (italian warship)
It sanked in 1918 becuase of a mine. The shipwreck is divided in 2 parts. It is 85 meters long, 8 meters wide in 42-55m depth.
It is an Austrian cargo ship. Built in 1864. It sanked on a mine in 1864. It is 80 m long and 36-43m deep into the sea.
Baron gautsch (passengership)
Most famous wreck in Austria. Passenger ship, built in scotland by the Österreichischer Lloyd shipping company in 1908. It sanked on austrian mine, 9 miles away from pula. In 1914, about 300 people died, mostly women and children, in this naval disaster. It is 80m long and 40 meters deep into the sea.
It is 40 meters long, 5 meters wide, in 41-46m depth. You can find lots of big fish in there.
Guiseppe dezza –'insidioso'(torpedoboat)
Italian minesweeper, built in 1913. It was sank by a torpedo in 1944. It is 40 meters long in 30-35 meters depth. In 2-parts.
It is an Austrian cargo ship, built in 1864. Sanked by mine in 1864. It is 80 meters long, in 36-43 meters depth.
