Jump on your quad bike or UTV for this exceptional off-road experience in the amazing surroundings of Akamas National Park, Cyprus.
Negotiate the tracks and trails that surround idyllic bays, breathtaking sea caves and even shipwrecks!
This exciting and fun-packed experience truly is the best way to see the Akamas Peninsula, one of the most stunningly beautiful locations in the Mediterranean Sea.
Akamas is a cape/peninsula situated in the north-west of Cyprus. It covers an area of 230 km2 and is listed as a national park. Tourists who come to the area tend to be more interested in culture and biodiversity thanks to a healthy and vibrant mix of animal species from fruit bats and vultures to monk seals and sea turtles. Sir David Attenborough even made a feature-length documentary on the area in 2006! There are also hundreds of plant species in the area that are unique to the region.
Meet your guides for a full brief whilst being fitted for your safety equipment. Once you are comfortable with your vehicle, it’s off to your first stop – Lara Bay. This clean and unspoilt beach is protected, meaning everything is geared towards nature. No shops, restaurants or bars – just natural habitats left how they should be! The area is home to the native Loggerhead and Green Turtles which can generally be seen between May and August. After you’ll head off to see some of the amazing sea caves that sit in the cliff faces around the coast. These deep natural wonders can be seen above and below sea level and hide an amazing array of diverse sea creatures. The tracks and trails around this area are particularly fun to navigate, allowing you to get the most out of your quad/UTV. The end of the trip is spent visiting the Edro III shipwreck that run-aground in heavy seas at the end of 2011. This eerily calm ship sits on the rocks waiting to be dismantled. After all, is done its back to your meeting point to take in this truly magnificent experience!
