With the goal to avoid asphalt as much as possible, the 5-hour safari is the perfect choice for beginners who want to get the feel for riding buggies or quad bikes.
The safari tour starts at 10 AM. Please arrive 20 minutes before the departure time. This because the guides have to go through all relevant information for your adventure.
The tour starts off at the famous Coral beach of Pegeia situated at the steep slopes of the coastal hills at Coral Bay. After this, the tour carries on to the extraordinary shipwrecks and sea caves for you to discover.
The Sierra Leone-flagged ENDRO III shipwrecked in 2011 the 8th of September on a trip to Rhodes with a cargo of plasterboard. The well-experienced guide will also explain the fascinating history behind this ship during the tour. The sea Caves that you will discover with its spectacular rock formations have taken over a thousand years to form. It is a truly incredible experience to see them, that no one should miss!
After this, the tour guides will lead you towards St George. At this spot, you will not only get the spectacular view of St George's but also be able to visit the beautiful church and catacombs in the area.
After this, the tour will continue for its final destination, Lara Bay. Lara Bay is in Akamas, a coastal area with many turtle nests. Here live turtles such as the Loggerhead Turtle, and the rare Green Turtle.
Last but not least, the guides take you through Akamas forest and makes a stop at Polis viewpoint. Akamas forest is known for its many pine trees, wild olive-trees and wild carbos. On the way back you will be riding through various mountain villages, showing you another side of Paphos that you have probably not seen before!
