Activity description

Dog sledding is a real adventure! There is nothing like the sensation of being in control of your own dogsled, putting your trust in your team & earning their friendship.

Enjoy the peace, no noise, just you and your thoughts pulled by the dogs through the magical landscape around Oulu, Varjakka.

Cheerful and friendly Siberian huskies are welcoming you at their kennel. These guys know how to enjoy the snow and running!

Driving a dog sled is a great way to be outdoor, move your body, enjoy the beautiful winter scenery, and requires proper equipment and well-trained dogs.

The excursions include instruction on the history of dog sledding, handeling of the Siberian Huskies, and how to stear a sled. After the guided tour, you have the opportunity to grab the stear of the dogs and drive the dogsled alone.

Loihakka offers you the opportunity to try out dog sledding for an hour or to join the moonlight tour. Mushing in the dark evergreens is a guaranteed, memorable experience, filled with excitement and speed!
