Experience the thrilling excitement of snowmobiling through snowy forests and the beautiful nature of the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. Welcoming adventurers from ages 4 and up on this family-friendly excursion!
Rovaniemi is a city in Finnish Lapland, located right beside the Arctic Circle. The area encompasses beautiful untouched wilderness, with forests, mountains and lakes. Snowmobiling is a thrilling activity to discover the nature of Rovaniemi!
The trip begins at the starting point in Rovaniemi (pick up is available from specified locations upon booking). You will meet your experienced guide, who will go through a safety briefing and driving lesson. The group sizes are small and the speed and the length of the safari depend on each group. Therefore, these safaris are suited for families as well as for those who are looking for a real adrenaline boost. Snowmobiles will be shared in pairs, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch midway. Children will sit in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile.
The breathtaking landscapes of the Arctic Circle forest are waiting for you! Following the guide, you will set off into the snowy landscapes. The trail will take you to the more remote wilderness areas, where you will witness the beauty of the most scenic locations. There will be opportunities to take breaks and capture some photos of the stunning scenery. After the excursion, you will return to the starting point and be transferred back to your pick-up point in Rovaniemi.

For this activity, each snowmobile is shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch.
For safety reasons, children under 14 years old will sit in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. It is recommended that an adult also sits in the sled with smaller children.
Course of events
- Meet at the starting point in Rovaniemi or pick up from listed location
- Safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson
- Receive Arctic gear and equipment
- The snowmobiling adventure begins!
- Drive through the snowy forest for approximately 2 hours
- Return to the starting point
- Transfer back to pick-up point in Rovaniemi
Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the original document with you on the day of the activity.
Participants must be at least 140cm / 4'6" to sit on the sled as a passenger. Children who meet this height requirement can sit as a passenger when paying the adult price.
