Want to fly as free as a bird? Want to be out in the open air without having to spend hours learning theory and techniques? In that case tandem paragliding is perfect for you!
Alpe Vol Libre is a great school to enjoy your first tandem paraglide with! The team is made up 3 laidback, down to earth, fun and professional instructors who will take you out in the open air all year round.
You will take off from Le Signal at an altitude of 2,108 metres and will land in vallée de Bourg d'Oisans at an altitude of 700 metres. That’s a huge altitude difference of 1,400 metres, during the flight you can either try your hand at flying or simply sit back and enjoy the wonderful landscapes.
You will get to see the mythical Alpe d’Huez and its 21 bends that are used in the race of Tour de France. You will also get glimpses of the stunning summits of Rissiou, Taillefer, Grand Renaud and Rochail. You will also see the glaciers of Muzelle,Deux Alpes and Meije.
You’re guarantee a gentle take off thanks to the fact that you can always take off in several directions, always facing the wind.
For the adventurers amongst you, you always have the option of flying the glider, a simple 5 minute explanation about the basics before your flight is sufficient to enable you to fly. During the first half of the flight, your instructor will explain how to manoeuvre bends, manage the speed and control the glider. During the second half of the flight you’ll be left to your own devices with your instructor occasionally guiding you.
Mornings sessions are encouraged for this activity as the weather conditions are much more optimal.
Please note, take off and landings for winter flights will be done on skis.
It is possible to have more than 1 person flying at the same time if they are all the same size. A passenger weighing 80 kg will not be able to fly with a passenger of 55 kg for aerological reasons.
→ You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price
2) Cancellation between 48 and 96 hours prior to the agreed activity starting date
