Renowned as one of the most thrilling canyon systems in France, Tapoul is a breathtaking whitewater adventure filled with challenging highs and heart racing descents. Embrace the rush with adventure canyoning in the heart of the Cévennes National Park.
The gateway to a system of canyons that span the Mount Aigoual massif, canyoning through Tapoul's forest gorges and rapids strikes the ideal balance of technical ability and unforgettable fun!
Situated on the banks of the Massevaques river, Tapoul canyon is a 10-minute walk from the main road and a short drive from the neighbouring town of Rousses. A local shuttle bus operates during the summer season 3.50€ p.p.
A 3-hour traverse from 1000 meters, it's winding crevasses and steep drops are connected by a series of rope systems that require basic technical ability. This course includes various jumps from heights of up to 9m, whitewater rapids, climbs, abseils and zip lines - all of which are not mandatory but definitely recommended!
Most popular during April to October due to the warmer conditions, Tapoul is still considered a challenging course with fast currents, cliff overhangs and deep water better suited to confident swimmers.
