Do you feel like a change of scenery and a bit of fresh air? Then a balloon flight in Fontainebleau is exactly what you need to get out of your everyday life!
Less than an hour from Paris, the flight site of Moret sur Loing, a small medieval village, is a refreshing destination, far from the parisian hustle and bustle. You will fly over the forest of Fontainebleau and the magnificent region of Barbizon, former hunting grounds of the kings of France. Today, the forest is dotted with rocky bars with surprising shapes which are very popular with bouldering enthusiasts.
From the sky, you will have the best view possible on the castle of Fontainebleau and its gardens for a royal outing! In the morning or late afternoon, you get the best flight conditions and a superb light creating magical reflections to your aerial escape.
Professional pilots will help you discover the joys of ballooning and flight techniques.
Depending on the wind conditions, you will explore different horizons:
- To the north-west, you will discover Barbizon, a village that inspired many impressionist painters.
- Moret sur Loing, a medieval town that seems to date from the Gallo-Roman era, of which you will see the vestiges.
- Perhaps you will have the chance to fly over one of these valleys: the Seine, the Loing, the Orvanne or the Ecole.
- Le Bocage du Gâtinais, a vast plateau next to the valleys of the Seine, the Yonne and the Loing, and the Cléry in the south.
You're in for a 3 hour adventure with approximately 1 hour in the airs.
- First things first, you'll watch the inflation of the balloon before climbing into the basket for a 1 hour flight.
- After you take off, you'll just follow the winds around the mountains and over the trees to touch the clouds with the tips of your fingers...
- During the flight, your guide will be in permanent contact with the team on land who will welcome you when you come back.
- Once the balloon is deflated and folded you can enjoy a typical pilots aperitive.
- Before you go back to the village, you'll receive a flight diploma.
Children that are less than 1.2 metres high can't take part in the activity.
Pregnant women should not fly in a hot air balloon.
If you have medical issues such as hips, heart, lungs, blood pressure problems, you should ask your GP for an authorisation to fly.
