Meet Christophe Bichet, an atypical pro climber and a member of Adrenaline Hunter's expert team.
In exclusivity for Adrenaline Hunter, Christophe proposes bouldering coaching sessions in the Mecca of bouldering, Fontainebleau, which also happens to be Christophe's backyard! A professional climber and the mental coach of the French national bouldering team, Christophe Bichet can bring you to the best climbing spots in the forest, and teach you how to improve your bouldering techniques but also most importantly how to create the positive energy to surpass yourself when climbing.
The coaching sessions
Christophe takes his coaching role very seriously and therefore limits group size to 6 people maximum.
Before each session, you will meet for a morning coffee at 9am in one of the village surrounding the forest, to discuss your expectations and objectives for the day.
You will then drive to the part of the forest which Christophe would have recommended depending on your objectives (and weather conditions).
The climbing session per se will last until 5pm, or until you are too exhausted to continue ! During the coaching, Christophe will show you the best and most interesting boulders and will give you many technical advice and tips. If you are interested, Christophe will also help you to "free" your climbing, as psychology takes such a central part in climbing.
After the bouldering session ends, you will benefit from a complete debrief by Christophe, around a cup of tea or coffee?
The most important requirement for this coaching session is MOTIVATION.
Whilst it is not necessary to be a pro climber to benefit from Christophe's advices, you will benefit most if you already have some experience in cliff climbing or bouldering (ideally, level 6a / 5.10 - cliff grades - or above).
Also, it is best but not compulsory to have relatively homogenous groups.
Christophe can bring enough crashpads for the group, but you need to have your own climbing shoes.
