Activity description
Due to a prefectural decree for the summer of 2023, hydrospeed activity is not available. On the other hand, the canoe rafting activity is still available.
Go head first into the rapids of the Aude river! You will have the choice between different routes of descent: from the discovery to the sportive level.
This fantastic and sensational activity takes you down the Aude River with the help of a float called hydrospeed. You will be equipped with a wetsuit specially designed for white water activities: life jacket, helmet and fins.
Roc Aqua Sud Rafting offers one half-day hydrospeed itinerary, ideal for thrill seekers: 7 km in the most agitated zone of the Aude river, classified between 2 and 5! If you are looking for thrills during your vacations in the Aude, go for this hydrospeed activity!
The Sud Rafting center is located one hour from Perpignan and two hours from Toulouse, perfect for a morning or afternoon of hydrospeeding in the middle of nature, with family or friends!
You’ll float down the wild limestone gorges of Saint Georges surrounded by some of the most beautiful backdrops of the region. The gorges are hundreds of metres high and are full of history – this spot is ideal for white water beginners.
The first part of the descent (classed 3) will throw you straight into the deep end.
Once you’ve had your security briefing and technical workshops, your instructor will teach you the basics of white water rafting.
You’ll then cross the gorges of St Georges, making your way to the village of Axat and finally arriving at the centre of Roc Aqua – overall a 7 km descent.
This activity is physically demanding and all participants must master a certain number of techniques and be autonomous in terms of security regulations.
Activity requirements
Minimum age: 12
All participants under 18 must provide written parental consent.
It is imperative to know how to swim and immerse oneself, this course requires a certain physical commitment, the participants must be autonomous on several techniques of approach of the swimming in river and on safety.

You have to pay 1€ per person the day of the activity for the city tax.
