Activity description

Enjoy the thrills of rafting down the Gave de Pau from Villelongue with family and friends in the Hautes-Pyrénées!

Aboard a classic, very stable 4 to 8-seater raft, you can descend the rapids of the Gave de Pau in the Hautes-Pyrénées in complete safety, with a qualified instructor to guide you along the way. For around 2 hours, you will have the pleasure of discovering the incredible thrills of rafting down the class 2 to 3 rapids that make up this part of the Gave de Pau, between Argelès-Gazost and Cauterets: great waves and splashes await you!

Departing from Villelongue, less than an hour's drive from Tarbes and Pau, you will enjoy comfortable facilities (showers, changing rooms, picnic area, etc.) before setting off on your rafting trip down the Gave de Pau, and on your return from the activity. You will be provided with all the thermal safety equipment you need, so you can make the most of this experience in the heart of the magnificent Hautes-Pyrénées!

Whether you have done white-water rafting before or it is your very first time, rafting down the Gave de Pau from Villelongue will give you incredible thrills, as well as great memories to share with your family and friends! And if you are looking for a bit more of a challenge, opt for the mini-raft descent on the Gave de Pau: you will be on your own in the mini-raft, which you will have to master under the guidance of the instructor who remains in his own kayak raft!

Activité calme en raison de l'étiage du grave en août

Activité agréable un peu courte et qui manque de passages un peu plus tumultueux

My family and I had a great experience with Tom Rafting. We booked our half-day excursion the night before and received a confirmation within two hours. Tom was a great rafting guide (spoke English, Spanish and French). He pointed out landmarks, various wildlife and had insight on each mountain range. His instructions on rafting were very easy to follow... my 64 year old Aunt had the time of her life. I would highly recommend Tom Rafting for anyone visiting the area.
