Half way between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, in the purest sky of France, the take-off point of Forcalquier is a real treasure of beauty and peace. Your hot air balloon flight will take you up to discover fortified villages perched on top of the Luberon mountains and the lavender fields that will light up your aerial escape with a luminous, colorful and surreal new dimension.
Take a moment after your flight to visit to the village of Forcalquier and its historical monuments: the Notre-Dame du Bourguet Cathedral (13th and 17th centuries), the Notre-Dame de Provence chapel, where the view dominates the Haute-Provence and the Cordeliers (13th century).

Hot air balloon rides in Forcalquier only take place in the morning. There's nothing better than starting your day with a sun bath up in the air!
You're in for a 3 hour adventure with approximately 1 hour in the airs.
- First things first, you'll watch the inflation of the balloon before climbing into the basket for a 1 hour flight.
- After you take off, you'll just follow the winds around the mountains and over the trees to touch the clouds with the tips of your fingers...
- During the flight, your guide will be in permanent contact with the team on land who will welcome you when you come back.
- Once the balloon is deflated and folded you can enjoy a typical pilots aperitive.
- Before you go back to the village, you'll receive a flight diploma.
Children that are less than 1.2 metres high can't take part in the activity.
Pregnant women should not fly in a hot air balloon.
If you have medical issues such as hips, heart, lungs, blood pressure problems, you should ask your GP for an authorisation to fly.

Car park of Centre Culturel de la Bonne Fontaine in Forcalquier (a red building)
At the round about of Chalus ZA (there's an Intermarché there), take the first exit out of Forcalquier.
