Activity description

Try the sensational activity of ice diving in Tignes. Discover the difference a simple layer of ice makes between the world above and below it!

The ice diving school of Tignes is located in the heart of the ski resort, accessible on foot or using skis. After a short briefing about the security protocols and equipment you’ll be using, you’ll dive down under the ice into the lake. You’ll dive to a depth of 1 to 2 metres with a certified professional for approximately 20 minutes.

Ice diving
Once you’ve geared up in your warm Topstar wetsuit, face mask and gloves, the surface assistant will help you with your diving equipment. He will then assist you into the water, where your instructor will be waiting for you.

Your sling will be permanently connected to the lifeline throughout your escapade underwater, allowing you to explore to your heart’s content.

After 20 minutes you’ll make your way out of the water where surface assistant will help you take off your equipment.

This activity is available from the beginning of December to the beginning of April - the school would be happy to share this unique experience with you.

Rendez-vous directement sur le Lac de Tignes, derrière la piscine. Il faut traversé l'air d'arrivée des pistes pour contourner la patinoire et le spot est là. Petit chalet chauffé à côté pour ce changer et faire le briefing.
