With abseiling, descending, mini jumps, slides and walking, the Balène canyon is a great way to get started with canyoning. Not only do you get to see almost every aspect of this water sport, but you also get to enjoy the incredible environment of the Verdon Gorges. Located close to Lake Sainte-Croix, in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the Balène canyon is open to children aged 8 and over, making it the perfect canyon for families in the Gorges du Verdon region! In this family-friendly canyon, you'll take on a series of small obstacles in a very steep environment, with abseils of up to 8 metres.

Don't hesitate, book your family canyoning activity in the Balène near Lake Sainte-Croix and enjoy the sublime setting of the Verdon gorges!
- Your guide will wait for you at the meeting point, then you will leave for an approach walk of about 15 minutes.
- Once equipped, you will descend the Balène ravine where you will follow a series of small obstacles in a very steep canyon, with abseils up to 8 meters.
- You will then leave your wetsuits for a 20 minutes walk back to the canyon where the landscapes are breathtaking!
