A series of waterfalls that will have you holding your breath with every new challenge, this vertical rope course descends into the heart of the Allgäu Alps, allowing you to get a better perspective on this dramatic vertical landscape. An adventure where every step counts, keep your cool as you abseil solo 30m into the mouth of the infamous Stuibenfälle Gorge.
Stuibenfälle Gorge is located near Reutte in the Allgäu Alps. Close to the popular ski resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, this series of waterfalls that runs 600m through the alpine Tirol and is renowned for its 30m namesake waterfall that runs into the area’s second largest river, the Lechtal.
Meet your instructor at the meeting point in Reutte for this half-day canyoning adventure in Stuibenfälle Gorge. A challenging descent suited to adventurous beginners, start with a short walk to the start of the ravine, gearing up and receiving a short safety briefing. During the next 4-5 hours, you will work as a team to conquer dramatic drops, technical rappels and natural slides – slipping, swimming and scrambling into the heart of this signature canyon deep in the Tirol! A nature trail like no other, learn how to abseil independently down a 20m waterfall with the help of your instructor – and freefall into the freshwater pools that tower 6m above! Spend your day sliding down small toboggans, practising new rope skills and encouraging your fellow canyoneers to take a leap of faith! After overcoming hurdles and heights, you will reach the end of the canyon where you can dry off and change clothes – returning to the meeting point where your adventure will end.
A canyoning activity that operates during the summer season from May-September, this activity is suitable for adventurous beginners. No previous experience is necessary and there are several opt-out areas during the course. Comfortable closed-toe shoes are recommended.
