Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands in Greece, situated in the southeastern Aegean Sea. This activity takes place in Ixia, a resort area located on the northern coast of Rhodes. It's known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and range of water sports such as windsurfing and kiteboarding.
The adventure begins at the starting point in Ixia. You can choose from a variety of lesson durations depending on your preferences. There is a beginner course for those who have never practiced windsurfing before and want to learn the basics, and an intermediate course for experienced riders who want to improve their skills. Upon arrival at the centre, you'll be greeted by a team of friendly, qualified instructors. You'll receive all of the necessary equipment, including premium boards and sails, a harness, a wetsuit, and a life jacket.
After a quick safety briefing, the lesson begins! For beginners, you'll start on the beach and practice using and controlling the sail. Once you have learned the theory, you'll head onto the water to practice your techniques! The location at Ixia Bay is optimal for windsurfing, with reliable side shore winds and flat water. For advanced riders, the experienced instructor will help you improve your skills and teach you more technical moves. At the end of the lesson, you'll return to the starting point in Ixia.
