You will arrive to Mt. Grammos one of the highest Greek Mountains at the borders with Albania. Mt Grammos is a paradise for backcountry lovers, has extended slopes and big open bowls - it's a pleasure for any skier. A bus will take you to the small mountain settlement Grammosta at 1440m altitude. Overnight at Grammos Lodge.
Depending on weather conditions, skin up the highest peak Grammos at 2520 and descent back to the lodge.
Crossing to Aetomilitsa via Kiafa peak at 2393m and drive to the next station Mt. Timfi and the village Papigo.
The ascent begins from the village of Papigo towards the Astraka refuge, we start to skin usually at 1400m, and until there (1.30 walk) the skis can be tranferred by horse! At the refuge you will have a small break, and leave some things you don’t need. After a small descent you will continue to climb Ploskos peak and enjoy a smooth descent until the valley below the refuge. After a small ascent you will reach the refuge, where you will overnight.
There are two options for this day, one is to climb the highest peak Gamila (2497m) which is a similar tour as the day before, and the second is to climb the impressive Astraka peak (2436m) and make a nice round tour. After the climb you will ski down all the way to Papigo, where the bus will be waiting to transfer the group to Pades, where you will pass the night.
Mt Smolikas is the second highest mountain of Greece, and with its 2637 metres makes it a ski paradise! You will start from the village, with a small bus transfer until you find snow and the possibility to skin up! The goal is the peak, and the slopes around it. Amazing views as you climb, towards Timfi, and the Albanian border. Skiing is great downhilling into a valley... You will skin up for about an hour and another beautiful tree run is ahead of us! Return to Pades and drive to Distrato where you will overnight.
A relaxed day as you will head to Vasilitsa a small ski resort but a beautiful off piste area. You will make some nice turns around the ski area using lifts access and our feet. You will overnight in a lux hotel for the last evening in the Greek mountains!
