You have always wanted to get your diving certification, or you have already validated your Level 1 and want to push your training a little further? Les Heures Saines Plongée school in Guadeloupe is happy to help you get your FFESSM (French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports) diploma or ANMP (National Association of Diving Instructors)!

The center, which is located in Bouillante, at the south of the Malendure beach, offers different scuba diving courses in Cousteau Reserve:

- PE12: this course allows you to dive up to 12 meters, in a group and with an instructor.

- Level 1: this course allows you to dive to 20 meters, in a group and with an instructor.

- PE40: this course allows you to dive to 40 meters, in a group and with an instructor (it is imperative to have already passed Level 1 to follow this course).

- Level 2: This course allows you to dive with a supervisor up to 40 meters and autonomously up to 20 meters (it is imperative to have already validated at least the Level 1).

The courses are led by certified instructors who have several years of diving experience, and who know how to adapt their teaching methods and itineraries to their groups of students and to the desires of each one. You will learn how to hear up, check your equipment, the water immersion techniques and underwater communication techniques – everything that will help you enjoy this experience safely.

During your scuba diving session, you will be integrated into a group of 4 people maximum, all of whom will be the same level as you and will be preparing for the same course.

This course allows you to progress as a group with an instructor to a depth of 20 meters.

Objectives

The Level 1 diver:

- Can carry out exploration dives to a depth of 20 meters in a group, with an instructor who takes charge of the dive;
- Can equip himself, immerse himself, balance himself and evolve;
- Be able to prevent diving incidents on his/her own;
- Can assist a team member waiting for the intervention of the P.M.;
- Can receive assistance from the CPO or a team member if required;
- Apply the instructions given by the P.M.

Once you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to dive down to a depth of 40 meters under the supervision of a guided group.

Objectives

The diver holding the PE40 qualification :

- is capable of exploring in the 0 - 40 m space as part of a group of divers under the supervision of an instructor;
- is autonomous in terms of equipping, immersing, balancing and evolving;
- can prevent diving incidents for him/herself;
- can assist a team member waiting for the intervention of the P.G.;
- can receive assistance from the CPO or a team member if necessary;
- apply all directives and procedures implemented by the PM.

FFESSM or ANMP | Level 2 course

You will do 10 dives in a group of 4 people maximum to optimise learning and the availability of your instructor.

You will organise your schedule according to your availability to divide your dives. However, to avoid undesirable effects, you should avoid diving 7 days in a row. It is important to give your body time to recover (minimum 1 or 2 days off per week).

A certified Level 2 diver is allowed to:

- practice scuba diving independently (without a guide or instructor) within the 20 meters limit, in groups of 2 or 3 divers;
- dive in the 40 meters zone, provided that he is supervised by a diver of at least level 4.

Objectives

This course allows you to progress as a group without an instructor to a depth of 20 meters and with an instructor to a depth of 40 meters.

In order to complete the level 2 course successfully you will need to meet these objectives:

- Improve your basic techniques
- Increase your autonomy when moving around underwater
- Ability to adapt to the scuba diving conditions
- Progress as a group in a median zone
- Assure your safety when immersing into the water and helping your team members who are in trouble
- Getting used to the underwater depth
- Access a distant area with all the equipment, swimming side by side with your instructor
- Move as a guided group to access a distant area
