Activity description
Come and do your first dive in the most beautiful spots of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin nature reserve, from Port-Louis in Grande-Terre!
Whether it's near the Souffleur beach or in the open sea, in the Grand Cul-de-sac marin bay, your first dive will be your first adventure in the underwater world. Come and discover the rich underwater fauna and flora of Guadeloupe with SeacretDive from Port-Louis! This diving center takes its students to different spots such as the Aquarium, the Trou à l'Orage or the Fajou reserve, little frequented sites and therefore still preserved in the heart of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin nature reserve.
Once you are equipped with your diving gear (fins, mask and wetsuit), your state-qualified instructor will brief you on the equipment you will be using, some basic signs to communicate underwater, and on the fauna and flora you will discover during your first dive.
Then you are off on an unforgettable underwater excursion! Your instructor, who is also certified in wellness diving (Bathysmed protocol) and underwater biology, will take you to explore the sea bed up to 6 meters deep. You will enjoy the most pleasant diving experience in Guadeloupe, in a warm and friendly environment.
Once back at the center in Port-Louis, you can take a shower, then enjoy a refreshment with the team who will give you your first dive diploma to end the activity in style!
Allow 3.5 hours on site (welcome, equipment, briefing, transport time to the dive site, etc.)
Course of events
- Meet at the centre at the specified time (no need to arrive early) for check-in and equipment.
- Dive briefing (safety, procedure, species to be seen)
- Transfer to the port and boat (2 minutes away by car or car pool)
- 5 to 20 minutes on the boat (large, comfortable zodiac) to the dive site and its turquoise waters
- Approximately 1 hour at the dive site: launch, individual immersion for a minimum of 20 minutes with the instructor in a private lesson, beautiful underwater walk to discover Caribbean species, underwater photography of your immersion, return to the boat (snorkelling possible in addition to the baptism).
- Return to the centre (showers available at the centre and refreshments served after the activity)
- Debriefing: advice and information about your dive and the species encountered (identification by your instructors trained in underwater biology and with the help of bio-identification books).
- Presentation of your baptism diploma and free access to retrieve your digital photo
Activity requirements
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to do a first dive.
You must not have any contraindications to diving.
Special terms
After booking on Manawa, confirmation of the center according to availability and weather conditions.
Do not go to altitude 12 hours after your first dive (do not fly, go microlighting, paragliding or parachute jumping, or go hiking at altitude (Soufrière)
