This activity is run & operated from Lovina near Singaraja in Northern Bali. 95km from Kuta, transfer time is around 4 hours each way – with return transport included. Known for its black sand beaches, coral reefs and dolphins, Lovina Beach is a combination of smaller beaches spanning several local villages between two districts in the North Bali regency of Buleleng.
Meet your guide at the activity base for this dolphin watching excursion to Lovina Beach. An impressive natural display that takes place most mornings just off the coast, the excursion starts with an early morning transfer from Southern Bali, travelling to the volcanic beaches near Singaraja. From here, you will transfer to a traditional Jukung boat and travel into the bay where you can appreciate the amazing synchronized displays and aerial shows the wild dolphins perform at sunrise. Leaping high out of the water and spinning in impressive formations, your on-boat guide will explain more about the history and heritage of the wildlife in Northern Bali – and the unique relationship this pod of dolphins has with local fishermen, too. Returning to the beach, you will have the chance to snorkel in the area’s safe, shallow reefs – exploring the volcanic seafloor and its ancient lava formations.
This activity takes place at Lovina Beach– a 4hour transfer from southern regions like Kuta. Avoid rides between the months of February and April, when gusty weather becomes unfavourable for both the piloting fishermen and the dolphins themselves. Please note dolphins are wild and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
