Activity description

See the real beauty of Ireland during this amazing country and mountain adventure in Wicklow National Park.

This award-winning guided tour includes a stop at Glendalough valley, with its picturesque slopes and lakes.

Hike and trek through these magnificent landscapes, witnessing first-hand the beauty of this wonderful “Emerald” island!

Location
The County of Wicklow is situated on Ireland’s mid-east coast, south of the Capital of Dublin. The region is renowned for its National Park, made up of rolling granite mountains and rich green countryside. The Powerscourt Waterfall runs through the area and on into the many lakes, rivers and reservoirs that make Wicklow so amazing. The closest international airport is located in Dublin, which has great links to worldwide locations.

Activity
Meet your qualified guides for a rundown of the day’s events and a safety brief. The first stop on the tour is the picturesque Victorian estate of Enniskerry, home to Powerscourt House and Waterfall. Several Hollywood movies have been filmed in the area thanks to its amazing scenic backdrops. There will be a stop to take a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants and bakeries in the town. You'll then be heading off to the Wicklow Mountains, on to the Sally Gap, a road famed for its enviable views including Lough Tay and Glenmacnass Waterfall. The next stop is Guinness Lake, a location used on the Hollywood blockbusters Braveheart and Excalibur. This is one of the most photographed locations in Wicklow, so it’s wise to have a camera at hand. When all is done, it’s back to the meeting point to finish off an amazing day in the Irish countryside.
