Rafting is a recreational outdoor sport that uses an inflatable raft and single paddles. It's a pretty recent sport that brings fun and thrills!
It consists of dealing with descents down creeks and rivers, categorized in degrees of difficulty, giving more or less thrilling parts. A crew is generally made up of 6 passengers and a guide who creates fun and safe trajectories.
The Canyon of the Lao River is a natural breathtaking sight which has become famous thanks to rafting. It's an amazing adventure if you love having fun in nature, always led by an expert in complete safety.
The River Tribe centre offers you three different routes on River Lao from their base in San Primo, Calabria.
- The "Rafting Fun Trip" is dedicated to people who want to discover the activity and spend fun time with friends or family. You'll paddle down easy passages, rapids, and little jumps for about 1 hour from San Primo to Laino Borgo (2.5 miles/4 km).
- The "Rafting Grand Canyon" has some demanding passages and is made for people who love nature and adventure, and who are in good health. The route starts from San Primo to “Ponte Gioia”- Campicello (11 miles/17,7 km) and lasts about 3 hours.
- The "Rafting No Limits" is for those who want to know the wonderful Canyon del Lao in a full immersive day - a crescendo of emotions! You'll paddle 18 miles (29 km) from San Primo to Papasidero (7 hours) on both amusing and demanding passages. You'll need to be in good health to participate in this adventure!
