Activity description

Bid farewell to the comfort of the pistes and head off in search of fresh powder in the heart of the Italian Dolomites with backcountry skiing adventures in Trentino and the high plains of Paganella.

Situated in the foothills of the largest ski area in Trentino, the Brenta Dolomites offers more than 150km of skiable terrain in the stunning backdrop of a UNESCO world heritage site. Explore the highs and lows of this stunning alpine landscape on a half day off-piste adventure with your own UIAGM guide.

Andalo is situated on the high plains of Paganella facing the prominent peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and overlooking the crystal clear lake of Molveno. The 3 interconnected ski resorts in this area (Fai della Paganella, Andalo, and Molveno) have each maintained the flavour of Trentino's rich and generous mountain heritage whilst being easily accessed via the A22 motorway.

Organising small group excursions for intermediate and advanced off-piste skiers with some experience of backcountry terrain, itineraries will be chosen from 50km of routes that range in difficulty from the peak of the Cima Paganella to the Passo S. Antonio - with many powder and forest runs available using the Paganella ski pass. Choose to cover scenic freeride/deep snow areas or head out to the Tonale Pass for wide, isolated valleys.

Using both pisted slopes and backcountry terrain, expect immaculate slopes, challenging forest runs and deep powder valleys. Expect lows of -5°C and varying weather conditions the higher the altitude.
