Meet your guide for this full day sea kayaking tour of Nemunas Delta Nature Reserve. Travelling from Klaipėda to the Delta via Lithuania's main river, you'll get to experience parts of this bird paradise that very few get to see. Paddling in the protected area offers birders a chance to get closer to the local wildlife - including sea eagles, common cranes, white stork and many other species. One of Europe’s largest and oldest ornithological station is located in Ventė where guests can choose to visit the on-site museum and, if birds aren't your thing, the area is packed with cultural heritage, too, like the old water pumping station (1907), Uostadvaris lighthouse and Mingė village. Travelling on the Nemunas river to Kniaupas bay, you'll stop for a relaxing picnic lunch and a chance to learn more about the local area from your guide, picked up downstream where return transport will be waiting to take you back to Klaipėda.
Operating from April to October, this tour uses two-seater closed deck touring kayaks (single seater on request). Please note this activity operates with a two-person minimum per tour.
