You will also be able to learn more about the history of the shipwrecks that haunt the sea depth of Madagascar. You will dive in different sea beds: sand, coral and rocks.
The Nosy Boraha lagoon is full of coral reefs. The sea-life is a preserved natural heritage and a first-class diving site in the Indian Ocean.
There are also so many pirate shipwrecks around the island. That is because the island is a former shipping route which has become today a sanctuary for pirate ships. During the 17th and 18th centuries pirates used to sail quite often in these waters as it was the route of the East India Company.
You can find among these shipwrecks 4 famous pirates vessels: the Adventure Galley, the Fiery dragon, the Great Mohamet and the Mocha. The Department for Culture is planning to resume the marine search that started in 2010. Nosy Boraha has valuable archaeological remains of the Indian Ocean sea piracy. Bora Dive participates actively in this big research project that will go on for the next 10 years!
Nosy Boraha is the perfect place to do your first scuba dive! The instructor stays with you the entire time of the activity.
You will start first with a 15 minute theoritical session and then practice for 1,5 hour. The activity will last 2 hours depending on the diving site that you chose.
