Learn how to dive with this PADI Discover scuba diving course in Mellieha Bay, Malta. Open to beginners, ages 10 and up!
Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, Malta is a dreamy scuba diving destination. If you have always dreamt of learning scuba diving, this 3-hour PADI course in Mellieha Bay is the perfect chance. Designed for beginners, this course will teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving immersed in a motivating environment.
Your adventure begins with a briefing about the equipment at the diving centre. Then, you'll have a 30-minute theoretical session where you'll learn how the equipment works and discover the art of breathing underwater. Then, during a 15-minute training dive in the pristine waters in front of the scuba diving centre in Mellieha Bay. Here, you'll have the opportunity to practice the fundamentals under the guidance of your instructor. A short boat ride along Mellieha Bay will take you to the diving site off the coast. From the boat, you and your instructor will dive into the water and start exploring. As you discover Malta's seabed you'll reach up to 12 m in depth! At the end of the scuba diving experience, you'll hop back on the boat and return to the diving centre.

This PADI course consists of three main components:
1) Theory: engage in a 30-minute diving theory session with one of your friendly and knowledgeable PADI professionals.
2) Training dive: participate in a confined training dive in the gorgeous Mellieha Bay; learn to breathe underwater and practice four key scuba diving skills.
3) Pleasure dive: engage in a true discovery dive (limited to 12 meters depth) under the acute supervision of your instructors; keep an eye out for rays, octopus, silver bream, cuttlefish, moray eels, parrotfish, rainbow wrasse, and many more varieties of marine life!
- Meet your guide at SeaShell Dive Centre - Triq Il-Marfa, Il-Mellieħa, Malta.
- Briefing and equipment.
- 30-minute theoretical lesson.
- 15-minute practice on the shore.
- Boat ride to the diving spot (chosen according to the weather).
- 1-hour dive.
- Return to the meeting point.
- Knowing how to swim is compulsory.
- The minimum age for this activity is 10 years.
- Anyone aged under 18 years old must have parental consent to participate in this activity.
- The activity is not suitable for pregnant women.
- Please note that from November to April the dive is done from the shore
