Sea Blue Safari makes you live a unique and unforgettable moment, you will have the chance to observe dolphins and manta rays moving freely in the Lagoon of Mayotte.
With 20years of experience and passion in the observation of marine mammals, Sea Blue Safari will share with pleasure all its knowledge during this safari to discover the extreme richness of the Lagoon which surrounds the island of Mayotte. Don't miss this opportunity!
Several species of dolphins are present in the lagoon of Mayotte throughout the year (Bottlenose dolphin, Humpback dolphin, Spotted dolphin, Longnose dolphin, Electra dolphin...). And from March to June the Alfredi's Manta Rays come to feed in the plankton-rich waters of the lagoon.
Sea Blue offers you the chance to approach these cetaceans while respecting the rules of approach in order to observe them without disturbing them. You will have the chance to swim with them if sea conditions permit.
The island of Mayotte or the island with the huge lagoon is the ideal place : close to the south-east coast of Africa, it is awonder of nature with a lagoon of a richness : thelagoon is very rich.
Course of the activity :
The departure is at 8.00 am from Mamoudzou and/or Petite Terre to the areas where dolphins and manta rays are sought, a breakfast awaits you on board !
You will go on a search and then approach and observe the behaviour of rays and dolphins.
Afterwards, you will taste a local punch on a white sand island and then have lunch at around 1pm on a heavenly beach.
The search for dolphins will continue in the afternoon with a snorkeling stop on a fabulous coral reef.
The return trip will take place around 4pm in Mamoudzou with lots of beautiful images in mind!
Everyone is welcome for this excursion which can also be done as a private outing.
