Once you've had enough of relaxing on the golden sand beaches of Vallarta and you feel like you want to do something different, head on to Canopy River and join them on a cool quad biking ride in the lush-green forest nearby.
Heading up the mountains upstream the Cuale River in the Sierra Madre del Sur, Canopy River has built a center where you can find their quad bikes, buggies, and their amazing zip line circuit. The adventure will start at your accommodation where you'll be picked up and taken to Canopy River's HQs in the mountains.
Once in the mountains, Canopy River's team will welcome you and brief you on the correct way to drive a quad bike and will provide you with all necessary safety equipment. Then, you'll head on into the mountains on off-road dirt tracks that are guaranteed to give you the adrenaline fix you're looking for!
Your excursion will start with a 45-min. ride on a dirt road as your cross a segment of the Sierra Madre on your quad. As you ride, you'll notice the change in ecosystems, from subtropical to semi-desertic.
Then, you'll come across the El Salto Waterfall where you'll take a break so you can cool off in the fresh waters. You'll be able to relax and enjoy the view! The most exciting part of the ride will be next. You'll discover one of the longest hanging bridges in the world. This bridge is 470 m. and stands 150 m. above the Cuale River. You'll actually ride your quad through it!
El Jorullo is a charming little town that also hosts a small tequila factory.
A valid driver's license is required.
A $10 USD per ATV insurance charge will be done as a collision insurance (non-refundable). This will be paid upon arrival at the registration area covering up to $500 USD in damage to the unit.
