This activity travels to Everest Base Camp via Lukla from Kathmandu. Following the traditional tea house route to 5,545m via Sagarmatha National Park, the trek takes you through the bank of deep Dudh Koshi river valley visiting Sherpa hamlets that include Namche, Tengboche and Pangboche among others.
A 16-day uphill climb to the world’s highest peak, this walking holiday to 5,545m blends cultural contrasts with heart racing highs – offering access to some of the world’s most stunning views. Starting off from Kathmandu, this traditional tea house route follows the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary, picking up the trail towards Namche Bazaar. Exploring Sagarmatha National Park on foot, this EBC trek allows for proper acclimatization along the trip, treading the trail to reach Everest Base Camp elevation 5357m and beyond.
The EBC trek starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trek takes you through the Dudh Koshi river valley, visiting Sherpa hamlets that include Namche, Tengboche and Pangboche among others. The highlight of the Everest Base Camp lies further on from EBC at 5,545m known as Kala Patthar - offering the best view in the world, a perfect panorama of Mt. Everest 8,848mtrs/ 29,021ft together with sister peaks Lhotse, Nuptse and numerous others.
Accommodation & Catering
A traditional all-inclusive package with shared overnight accommodation in tea houses, all meals and refreshments are included in the price of the trip.
The Everest Base Camp trek can be completed throughout the year but the most popular seasons are Autumn (September – November) & Spring (March-May). Walking approximately 6-7 hours a day, the temperature will be around +15ºc degree during the day and temperature will be + 0cº degree in the night and morning.
