Does the idea of a city tour make you yawn? Good. Put your sightseeing city trip into overdrive and join Auckland Adventure Jet for a high-speed adrenaline race around the city's iconic harbour!
Leave the long lines and busy streets of Auckland behind you and head down to Auckland's historic Waitematā Harbour for a full throttle adventure you'll never forget! Speeding along the city's iconic waterway, experience all Auckland has to offer at high speeds in excess of 50 knots under the iconic harbour bridge, Chelsea Sugar Factory, Kauri Point and Sky Tower...
Docked beside the historic Auckland Ferry Terminal building aka the Downtown terminal, the quay can be accessed via public transport, taxi and water taxi from the commercial channel opposite on Devonport. Close to the Metrolink bus station and train station, the jet boat office is only a 5-minute walk from Queen Street, Downtown hotels and hostels, Britomart (for buses, trains, and ferries), Princes Wharf and Queens Wharf (Cruise Terminals) and The Viaduct Harbour.
Meeting at the quayside, the jet boat team will take you through a quick safety briefing and kit you up with poncho (yes, you will get wet) lifevests and even a cool pair of sunnies if you need them. Travelling in excess of 50 knots, the skipper will show you a different side of the iconic harbor - stopping at famous landmarks to take insights from the historic Chelsea Sugar Refinery, The Harbour Bridge, Rangitoto Island to newly built Rugby World Cup stadium 'The Cloud' on Queens Wharf. Hang on tight! your skipper is sure to throw in some 360 spins, fishtails, and other tricks out in the wide open space of the Waitemata harbour - using hand signals and a countdown before he puts the boat into overdrive!
Whatever the weather has instore - you will get wet! January is the hottest month in Auckland with an average temperature of 20°C (68°F) and the coldest is July at 11°C (52°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 8 in January. The wettest month is July with an average of 60mm of rain.
