Before you set off, cover the basic safety procedures and kit check before you take off for your lesson. This trial flight puts you safely behind the dual controls of a Robinson 22 helicopter for a lesson and scenic flight with an instructor beside you the whole time, guiding you through your take off, hover, flight and landing. From reading weather patterns to understanding the gyroscope, test your natural technique whilst getting a feel for the controls, practising fundamental manoeuvres. What’s more, during the course of your flight you’ll get to see Christchurch from the air – exploring the impressive Canterbury Plains with the Southern Alps as the backdrop for your lesson!
Suitable for total beginners over the age of 18 years old, no previous experience is required. A two-person helicopter with dual controls, the Robinson 22 is a two-bladed, single-engine light utility helicopter specially adapted for training & lessons.
