Location
This activity is run & operated from Marahau and travels through Abel Tasman National Park. With itineraries organised for two-day and three-day trips, points of interest include Observation Beach, Adele Island, Tonga Island Marine Reserve and Awaroa Lagoon.

Activity
Designed for the wild at heart, leave base with only a map and a sense of adventure as you head off on this hike, kayak & camp adventure in Abel Tasman National Park. Choosing to spend two days or three days exploring the coastline, all multi-day trips start with an unguided bush walk to Onetahuti – reaching your beach base where your guide & kayaking equipment will be waiting:

2 Day Tiki Tour: Travel to Totaranui via water taxi and spend the first day walking unguided in the northern section of the park. After crossing the Awaroa Lagoon spend a night at Awaroa Glamping. Start the day with a scenic bushwalk to Onetahuti where you will meet your guide -paddling on a Magical Marine Tour to Tonga Island Marine Reserve.  At the end of the day return to Marahau by Water Taxi.

3 Day Tiki Tour:  Travel to Totaranui via water taxi and explore the northern section of the park on an unguided bushwalk. Reach the Awaroa Lagoon for a night at the Awaroa Glamping. Start day two with a scenic walk to Onetahuti and a kayak tour of Tonga Island Marine Reserve – spending the night at Aquapackers in Anchorage Bay – New Zealand’s only floating accommodation! Day three allows you the freedom to explore the Anchorage/Astrolabe area by kayak before returning to Marahau.

Accommodation & Catering
A half board trip, all meals and light refreshments are at an additional cost. Accommodation is organised on a shared basis – with private accommodation available on request (when possible). Awaroa Glamping has options available for dinner at your own cost, please check with us before departure.

Conditions
Suitable for adventurous beginners, this multi-day tour includes unguided bushwalking & kayaking - Total kayak time approx 4hrs with breaks. Please pack appropriately with suitable water clothes and walking boots.

→ You are automatically refunded for the full activity price

2) Cancellation between 4 and 10 days prior to the agreed activity starting date
→ You are entitled to a 50% refund

3) 4 days or later, prior to the agreed activity starting date, is considered last-minute cancellations
→ No refund will be made
