Mt Aspiring Canyon is an amazing full day canyoning experience you can't miss!

Hidden in the stunning Mt Aspiring National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage area, this canyoning experience is as beautiful as it is exciting, expect a large hit of everything in this action-packed product.

Enjoy down climbs, jumps, slides and big abseils down pumping waterfalls! This option has the biggest abseils and jumps available in Queenstown! No experience is required but good swimming skills; confidence and English speaking are a must. Travel time is approx 2 hours each way with a walking time of around 20 minutes into the canyon.

All tours are lead by experienced and qualified canyoning guides and group sizes are always kept small for maximum enjoyment.

Special terms

Do I need any experience to come out canyoning on any of the trips?
No, you don't, you'll be taught everything you need to know.

Do I need to know how to swim?
Not always, it's dependant on the water level.  It is important that you don't have a fear of water.

Will I get cold?
Possibly, you'll be dressed in super thick wetsuits to keep you as warm as possible.

Do I have to do the jumps?
No, you can be lowered down for any of the jumps you don't want to do.

Can I bring my camera?
Yes, and make sure you have something to attach it to yourself, so you don't lose it. You're taking this at your own risk.

Can I wear my glasses?
You can, but you will need something to attach them to yourself so you don't lose them.

For the helicopter option, you'll have to pay an additional NZD$599 pp. onsite. Please make sure you arrange this with your instructor as soon as you have booked the activity.
