Activity description
Kayaking has such a charm to it! While paddling you get to experience the amazing landscape that northern Norway offers, the sound of the water and the clean air will put you almost in a Zen state of mind!
Hjørundfjorden is still a bit of a hidden gem talking about fjords around Ålesund and far less crowded than Geiranger. Even if it´s not as crowded it´s still just as spectacular with big waterfalls diving down into the fjord.
The kayaking trip starts in Øye in a fjord arm called Norangsfjorden, here you'll have good protection from the rougher weather further out the fjord. Before engaging in this amazing experience, you'll start with a mandatory safety talk about the kayaks and the correct way to paddle before you set off.
Uteguiden kayaks are stable tandem kayaks that are easy to use and perfect for exploring the fjords. There are good chances to get to see some of the wildlife in the region during this trip like eagles, porpoises and otters.
Total length: 13km (8mi)
All participants must be able to swim and be in good shape.
