Activity description

Hike in Les Makes and discover all the wonders of the nature that the Réunion Island has to offer. Trek through tamarind forests rich in fauna and flora on your way through the Cirque de Cilaos, witnessing first-hand the extraordinary panoramic views on offer.

Organised every day by a team of passionate, experienced local guides, this seven-hour hike explores the phenomenal nature at the heart of this paradise island. A calm, tranquil environment makes it a great place to get away from it all and witness nature in its purest form. With such little light pollution, it’s also a must for travelers with a love of astronomy, as the skies here beam and glisten once the sun has fallen.

Offer Description

Meet your guides for a full itinerary brief before setting off into the Bois de Couleurs forest.

You will then head up through various vantage points for some amazing panoramic photo opportunities, before stopping at Petit Mapou and Camp 2 000 before picnic and refreshments.

After the tour is complete, it’s back to your meeting point to reflect on this amazing day in a tropical paradise.

- The minimum age for activity is 10-12 y/o depending on climbing experience.

- Ability to walk 11km with inclines that total 650m.
