Climb aboard a helicopter for a unique experience flying over the Piton de la Fournaise, the famous and majestic volcano in the south of Reunion Island!
The Piton de la Fournaise is a volcano that rises to an altitude of 2,632 metres in the south of Reunion Island. With its numerous eruptions and lava flows, it is one of the most active volcanoes on the planet, and therefore a site not to be missed on a helicopter flight, especially if you are lucky enough to witness an eruption!
This 25 minutes helicopter flight over the Piton de la Fournaise will start at the Saint-Pierre Pierrefonds airport where you will meet the pilot over a coffee or tea. Once the helicopter has taken off, you will head straight for the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, its craters and lava flows. The pilot will be happy to give you explanations on the site during the flight, as well as on the next ones: the Plaine des Sables, the Remparts river and finally the Langevin waterfalls.
The return to the airport will take place in front of the superb lagoon of Saint-Pierre, a beautiful way to end this flight over the Piton de la Fournaise which is an activity not to be missed in Reunion Island. So don't wait any longer and book your flight over the famous volcano of the island !
