Fly Reunion takes you on a microlight flight discovery tour of the Reunion island. It is a sight for sore eyes!
Get ready to take off for the south of the Reunion island! You will enjoy a microlight flight along the coastline and discover many wonderful spots such as the famous cave of the first frenchmen in Cape Marianne. After flying over the Cape Lahoussaye savannah, you will go on a safari around Saint-Gilles-les-Bains to look for dolphins, sea turtles, humpback whales and you might also see a whale shark if youare lucky!
You will fly over the Saint Paul pond on your way back to the Cambaie air base.
The great adventure
You will fly high above the Galets River and towards the cirque of Mafate, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will make your way to the Dos D'Ane village and fly over Deux Bras and Piton Cabris to finally make it to the cirque of Mafate. You will also be able to see the islets such as Cayenne, Ilet à Bourse, Grand ilet, Ilet aux Orangers.
You will take in some amazing views over the other two cirques: the cirque of Salazie and the cirque of Cilaos. And in order to get there you will follow the col des Boeufs and fly up the col du Thaibit which are two mountain passes.
Your microlight flight will finally takes you to Maido, where you will enjoy a pretty spectacular view before flying back to the primary forests of the upper valleys. And last but not least, you will start on a safari looking for dolphins and different types of whales that live in the Reunion's sea. You will make a detour by the Hermitage pass.
The big tour
Brace yourself for an incredible microlight flight over the cirque of Mafate and its most secluded islets... After taking off over the Galets River you will fly through the Cimendef pass to go directly to the green cirque of Salazie. You will then fly over the piton d'Anchaing, the Bridal Veil Falls, the Trou de Fer ('Iron Hole') to enjoy some amazing views. After flying over the Bélouve forest and the Takamaka canyons, you will discover the Grand Etang ('Big Pond') and its numerous waterfalls.
You will then fly over Plaine-des-Palmistes, to see the volcano Piton de la Fournaise one of the most beautiful gems of nature in the Reunion island. You will enjoy a breathtaking view over the Remparts River, the island largest ravine which opens up the way to the wilderness of the South. Then you will head up towards to Grand Bassin via the high plateaux of the Plaine des Cafres. You will then see the village of Dimitile from the sky, a village famous for its Maroon people. You will then fly over the cirque of Cilaos to see the Piton des Neiges that culminates at 3000 metres.
You will then head back to Mafate while flying over the islets in the south of the cirque Marla, la Nouvelle and Roche Plate. Enjoy a pretty spectacular view before flying back to the primary forests of the upper valleys.
Finally, you will fly towards the lagoons of Trou d'Eau, to start a safari in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, looking for the sea life that inhabits the Reunion sea.
